Eric's Comments on The Grid
I was halfway through my first round of the 48 when I overheard some hikers talking about The Grid. What was The Grid? I had to ask. The thought of completing 12 rounds of the 48 when I wasn't even through my first round sounded impossible, but I soon found myself working on it. It's been a great experience, even the time I hiked Owl's Head five months in a row solo.
I have met so many great friends along the way. Thanks to all who helped break trail, thanks to all who helped with carspots, thanks to those who joined me on sunny, warm days, and thanks to those who faced battle conditions on snowy, windy, below zero days. And thanks to all who have joined me for my Grid finish! For those who have not yet completed their Grid: Keep at it. You can do it! ~Eric
