Ed nears Jefferson as he completes his Grid over the age of 60.

A note from Ed regarding his "Over 60 Grid".

I completed my "over 60 grid", this day, on Mt Jefferson.

A spectacular day above tree-line. We summitted Jefferson at 10:34 AM. Hung-out in the sun for about 1/2 hour, then proceeded, as planned, to Mt Washington.

We summitted Mt Washington at 1:11 PM. Then hung-out in the sun until 2:00 PM.

A blue sky day, with very little breeze, and mild temps. Plus an undercast to the north & west almost all day.

I started the "over 60" grid on my 60th birthday, on May 8, 2006. Yesterday, completed the summitting of the "NH 48" four thousand footers, in every caledar month, starting from that day ( my 60th birthday ).

My companions on this hike were John Gutowski, June Rogier, Bill Schor, Craig Buffington, Bruce Pfendler, and Mary Ellen Baross ( MEB ).

This particular achievement has been one of my most satisfying, fullfilling, and rewarding accomplishments.

My thanks to all who have joined me, over the years, on all my hikes.
